Movement disorder refers to any clinical syndrome with either an excess of movement or a paucity of voluntary and involuntary movements, unrelated to weakness or spasticity. Movement disorders are synonymous with basal ganglia or extrapyramidal diseases

तीव्र मेंदूदाह लक्षणे समूह (ए.ई.एस.) यामध्‍ये विविध आजारांच्‍या लक्षणाचा अंतर्भाव होतो. त्‍यामध्‍ये प्रामुख्‍याने जपानीज मेंदूज्‍वर, चंडीपूरा, मेंदूज्‍वर, इत्‍यादी आजार आहेत. वैद्यकियदृष्‍टया विषाणू, जीवाणू, बुरशी, परजीवी जंतू स्‍पायरोसिस काही रसायनी तत्‍वे इत्‍यादी घटकांमुळे मज्‍जा संस्‍थेवर होणा-या परिणामांच्‍या आजारांच्‍या लक्षणांचा समूह आहे. ऋतुमानाप्रमाणे व भौगोलिक क्षेञानुसार वाहक घटकांच्‍या परिणामामध्‍ये भिन्‍नता असते.काही विषाणूजन्‍य मेंदूदाहमध्‍ये आजाराची तीव्रता व मृत्‍यूचे प्रमाण अतिशय जास्‍त असू शकते. विशेषतः जपानीज मेंदूदाह व एन्‍टेरोव्‍हॉयरस मेंदूदाह यामध्‍ये भारताच्‍या काही भागात मृत्‍यूचे प्रमाण अधिक आहे.

Dementia is a term used to describe a group of symptoms affecting memory, thinking and social abilities severely enough to interfere with your daily life. It isn't a specific disease, but several diseases can cause dementia. Though dementia generally involves memory loss, memory loss has different causes. How do you explain dementia? Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning — thinking, remembering, and reasoning — to such an extent that it interferes with a person's daily life and activities. Some people with dementia cannot control their emotions, and their personalities may change.

Persistent problems falling and staying asleep. Most cases of insomnia are related to poor sleeping habits, depression, anxiety, lack of exercise, chronic illness or certain medication. Symptoms may include difficulty falling or staying asleep and not feeling well-rested. Treatment for insomnia consists of improving sleep habits, behaviour therapy and identifying and treating underlying causes. Sleeping pills may also be used, but should be monitored for side effects.
